Transforming communities, near and far, through the love of Jesus Christ.
OUR WHY
OUR VISION STATEMENT
THE HISTORY
The Little Church on the Lane is part of the Southern Province of the Moravian Church. The church was founded on November 7, 1920. The first pastor was Bishop Herbert Spaugh, well known in Charlotte for his weekly newspaper column. We were the first church in the Myers Park area of Charlotte and continue to witness to the greater Charlotte area to this day.
One of the unique differences displayed in The Little Church on the Lane is the power of community. As a more intimate church, we have the opportunity to live the ideal of church as family. From arranging rides to church for members who are not capable of driving to meals for new parents from other members of the church to lighten the load, there is community. We believe that being a Christian is a gift and an entrance to a community of love and service.

We also believe in the power of outreach. Moravians have a deep and historic call to missions, evidenced by our involvement in local Charlotte programs to help the underprivileged and also on the world stage through support of various overseas missions. Our job – and privilege – is to show Jesus’ love through outreach here and abroad.
